About the Speakers

Kimberly I. McCarthy, Esq. is Vice President, Chief Wealth Management Tax & Benefits Officer for Washington Trust Wealth Management, and leads the tax, ERISA, and employee benefits compliance efforts for the division. She joins Washington Trust with nearly 25 years of experience in employee benefits, tax, nonprofit, and regulatory compliance, most recently spending 20 years at Partridge Snow & Hahn.

 


Joseph R. Marion, III, Esq. is a Shareholder at Adler Pollock & Sheehan P.C. An experienced estate planning attorney, Joseph is a frequent lecturer for the Boston Bar Association and the Rhode Island Bar Association on estate and long-term care planning issues and land conservation planning. His areas of practice include estate and income tax planning, business succession planning, land conservation planning, long-term care planning, probate and trust administration, special needs planning and real estate conveyancing.


Lauren K. Drury, Esq., is a Senior Fiduciary Officer at Washington Trust Wealth Management. Lauren manages large and complex trust relationships, the settlement of complex estates, the management of departmental risk through document review, litigation oversight and assistance in the development of fiduciary policies and procedures to be carried out and followed by trust administration staff. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Drury worked as an attorney specializing in estate planning and probate law at the law firm of Mignanelli & Associates, Ltd., and as financial advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. She also served as counsel specializing in commercial lending and finance at the DiOrio Law Office and Sager & Schaffer, LLP.


Stacey Nakasian, Esq., is a Partner at Duffy & Sweeney, Ltd. Stacey Nakasian has over twenty-five years’ experience litigating complex commercial issues and leads the firm’s litigation practice.  Successful at crafting litigation strategies tailored to her clients’ business objectives, Stacey has prevailed in a wide range of cases including director and officer liability claims and shareholder disputes, fiduciary liability cases, intellectual property lawsuits and non-compete claims, and insurance coverage disputes.
